Flag Fundraiser
FLAG STATUS: In Work, Will be finished July 28th
Troop 870 is very proud to provide an annual American flag subscription service for the
neighborhoods of Pine Brook, University Park, The Oaks and Brookwood. Unfortunately,
due to the size of our troop we are unable to service any other neighborhoods in the area.
Your subscription entitles you to have a fresh, crisp looking 3 foot by 5 foot American flag on a
sturdy 10 foot flag pole displayed in front of your home a few days before and picked up a few
days after the following holidays:
- Memorial Day (May 25th)
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Patriot Day (Sept 11th)
- Veterans Day (Nov 11th)
Note that multiple scouts will be delivering/retrieving flags at different times on the weekends
before and after a holiday so not all flags will be set out at the same time in a neighborhood. If
you don’t receive your Flag by the Sunday afternoon prior to the holiday (or not picked up by the
Sunday afternoon after a holiday), please email Flags@Troop870wUBC.com.
Deadline for signing up is Monday May 18th to receive the full season (4 flags). Signups
between May 17th and June 25th will receive a reduced season of the final 3 flag
holidays. No subscriptions will be accepted after June 25th.
The cost of the service is $50 per year ($40 for reduced season if you sign up between
May 17th and June 25th ).
